“Dear Child, I love YOU…”

These words came to me last night. Thought I’d share them, so you can absorb what the love of Jesus is, and I do believe that they are from Jesus…

“Dear Child. Open your heart and hear my words. Receive them for yourself. I want you to truly experience what my love really is. For many of you the word LOVE is a foreign word, or it might even be a dirty word. Some of you have never experienced love. It might have been given to you with strings. It might have been violent, or deeply inappropriate – even sexual. Some of you have never experienced TRUE LOVE. It didn’t come from your family, or even your spouse.

Today I want you to experience MY LOVE. A love without conditions, a love that doesn’t expect something back. Continue reading “Dear Child, I love YOU…”

My Sister’s Keeper?

Accountability. A big word, and it can carry a lot of weight. Are we accountable to each other? To God? Why? And why should we be?

I don’t have a sister. I have listened to friends with sisters talk about what those relationships are like…and they sound so interesting. Frustrating, and yet so satisfying at times. Someone who knows what buttons to push, and calls you out on your issues. Tells you how it is…right? Well, that’s what is sounds like to me.

So, even though I don’t have a biological sister, it has become apparent to me in the last little while that I have many “sisters”. Women in my life who care about me, and what I am going through. We have the type of relationships that baffle the men in our lives…how can one talk on the phone for 3 hours a day? What do we really talk about?? Continue reading My Sister’s Keeper?

Girl Power!

I have been a terrible flirt throughout most of my life. I didn’t see any harm in it, and couldn’t really understand why other girls/women would give me the evil eye. “No harm in a little fun”, said the voice in my head, “I am not doing anything really serious and would never follow through…!” Being popular with the guys was what I knew and what I was comfortable with. Girls and their emotions confused me. So what if their men were having more fun with me?

Hmmm….

Facing this truth has taken the last decade. Stopping the flirting and joking was easy enough to do, but it only has become apparent in the last little while what was really going on.

I wasn’t honoring other women. Continue reading Girl Power!

The Golden Pot

A picture came to mind during today’s church service. So many of us sitting in the pews are cracked and broken vessels. Over the years there have been pieces broken off, and splinters that penetrated the porcelain surface. There are cracks and embedded dirt. Most of the pots have temporary glue holding them together, and some have been taped up…just barely holding on. The insides are hollow, and dark.

Jesus wants you to just throw that all onto the floor.

Let it go. Continue reading The Golden Pot

Hurry Up Jesus!!

Do you even feel that your true destiny is not coming to fruition? You have had a prophecy or a dream in your life, and you know that God has something planned…and nothing seems to happen? Or then we tell Jesus what we think should happen, after all it says in His Word that all we need to do is ask. So we ask, and wait…

And wait.

And wait some more.

Nothing seems to happen. Nothing changes, except I get impatient. Then my “faith” falters just a little bit. Something must be wrong. Maybe God was deaf, or maybe He is too busy to answer…so I start to nag and whine a little. Continue reading Hurry Up Jesus!!

Last Week’s Blessing

I spent a lot of time wandering around my house yesterday. At home, alone, and restless. Watching Netflix seemed like a good option. Why do housework, as it never ends, and I don’t enjoy it anyways. Thoughts were disjointed…and I could feel myself sinking into a funk. Maybe a nap would help? No…

What was different about yesterday if I compare it to last week? On the surface, nothing is really different. Life is good. The future seems bright enough. I have faith…and it seems intact. Then why are my thoughts so far removed from Jesus? Continue reading Last Week’s Blessing
